Spanish 1 is an all inclusive year long virtual course divided into two semesters (Spanish 1A and Spanish 1B) and available through different tuition packages.  This course is for students who have little to no previous exposure to Spanish.

This semester-long, budget-friendly package includes access to weekly video lectures and daily graded grammar and vocabulary exercises. The Basic Package focuses on reading and writing comprehension and is for the student who is self-motivated. This option is for those whose goals are more academic, such as passing an entry exam or placing out of a language learning requirement at the college level.

Standard Spanish 1

This semester-long option includes access to weekly video lectures and daily graded grammar and vocabulary exercises along with one live class meeting per week. The Standard Package combines self-study with once a week in-class practice time. Although all four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) are included in this package, there is more emphasis on the academic end of reading and writing. Face to face classroom time focuses on speaking and listening skills through the use of communicative activities, authentic materials, task based activities, games, role play, music, etc.

It is designed to give the student more in-class oral practice as well as extra outside-of-class support. This package combines self-study with in-class practice and equally prioritizes all four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking.) Face-to-face classroom time focuses on speaking and listening skills through the use of communicative activities, authentic materials, task based activities, games, role play, music, etc.
